Jett is the third platform from Arcturus Intelligence. Arcturus Intelligence combines experience from security and military advisors, verified data collection and industry-leading technology to build threat intelligence software. Jett provides travel safety information and tailored recommendations to users anywhere in the world.
BUSINESS GOALS Create a digital tool which allows users to discover safe places to explore and get real-time safety information and updates. Tailor recommendations by taking into account user characteristics and travel preferences. Build an all-in-one platform that provides valuable information (like emergency services) even when offline. Fun fact: technical requirements included keeping the app very small in size so users can download it over unreliable cellular service. PROBLEMS Creating an inviting consumer app that provides safety information, without the negative connotation of danger or conflict. Translating the complicated broad view concepts like global security indices into simple bits of information that are easy for the user to understand. Melding a Yelp-like featureset that recommends restaurants with a Public Safety notification center.
